Diana & Jose: A Maternity Photoshoot at the Luxembourg Garden

A Parisian Maternity Session in the Jardin du Luxembourg

There's something quietly perfect about a maternity photoshoot in the Jardin du Luxembourg. The manicured lawns, the soft Parisian light filtering through the chestnut trees, the sense of history and calm: it all makes for a backdrop as timeless as the moment itself.

Diana and Jose came to me for something special, the celebration of their first child together, a little boy due to arrive in just a few weeks. Diana is Colombian, Jose is French with Spanish roots. Theirs is a family already woven from three cultures, two languages and a whole lot of love. Their son is going to be born into a beautifully rich world.

This session was also a personal one for me. Diana was my own son's nanny, so photographing this new chapter in her life, as she prepares to welcome a son of her own, felt like coming full circle. It's a joy to witness the people around you step into new beginnings, and an even greater honor to capture it.

Celebrating New Beginnings

We wandered the garden as golden hour settled in, letting the images unfold naturally: Diana's hand resting on her belly, Jose's arms wrapped around them both, quiet glances and easy laughter. No stiff poses, just the two of them, present and glowing, on the edge of everything about to change.
